Over 110,000 individuals in Connecticut are now eligible for student loan forgiveness!

Your members are potentially eligible for full cancellation of their federal student loans under the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program. PSLF offers loan cancellation to borrowers after 10 years in government or non-profit public service work and completion of 120 qualifying loan payments.

Unions are uniquely positioned to help empower members in this process. We need unions to:

  • Spread the word to eligible members on the importance of this time-sensitive opportunity 
     

  • Help members connect with the correct point-of-contact at their employers that can certify their employment
